Google Pub/Sub is a cloud-based message transmission middleware accessible as a RESTful web service, supporting both gRPC and REST/HTTP. Pub/Sub features a large number of REST-endpoints beyond those used for publishing or receiving messages, allowing for administrating topics and subscriptions. The connector handles messages in JSON while publishing or pulling messages requires no special infrastructure adjustments – and open APIs and client libraries in seven languages support cross-cloud and hybrid deployments.
